Peering Policy
Cloudfira maintains a selective peering policy. We are open to peering discussions with networks that meet our requirements.
Policy Type
Selective. We evaluate each peering request individually based on mutual benefit, traffic exchange, and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Maintain a publicly routable ASN registered with a Regional Internet Registry
- Maintain an up-to-date record in PeeringDB with accurate contact information
- Operate a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) with reachable contact details
- Maintain traffic ratio within 3:1 in either direction
- Exchange a minimum of 100 Mbps of traffic
Peering Locations
ESPANIX (Madrid)
Primary peering location with route server and bilateral sessions available.
DE-CIX Madrid
Secondary peering location with bilateral sessions.
Technical Requirements
- BGP4 with support for 32-bit ASNs
- MD5 authentication (optional but recommended)
- Maximum prefix limits enforced
- IRR-based prefix filtering
- No default routes or private AS numbers
